Access to the proposed development will be from Toddington Road as shown by the red arrow on the Masterplan:
A detailed layout of the road can be seen in the "Proposed Site Access and Traffic Calming Measures Plan" document available here.
Below is an annotated extract from the above plan highlighting a blind spot for drivers turning right out of the proposed development towards the motorway. The blind spot situation would arise when drivers wishing to turn into the site attempt to let traffic out of the site by way of courtesy which is a common situation with this type of junction.
The blindspot would be made worse by the short vertical sign that would be on the lane separation island.
A larger version showing the rest of the road:
Note: the proposed secondary site access will also be close to the blind bend
The proposed primary site entrance would be directly at the third large oak tree on the left just after the second blind left bend when driving from the roundabout into the village and before the last blind right bend. This is marked on the Plan in the submitted Tree Survey as T37, refer to the HAS20 Trees page on this site for more information.
